| Summer Activities
Whistler is not just about the white stuff - there are loads of fantastic activities to keep you busy in the summer. Probably the biggest summer activity is downhill mountain biking. Whistler Mountain Bike Park has something for every level of rider on its 1,507 metres of lift-serviced descending mountain bike trails. There are several mountain bike camps, clinics and workshops available to suit all abilities and ages, and a great Ladies Only programme all of which can provide instruction, complete with park pass and bike rental if needed. For kids who are missing their dose of excitement, head over to the base of Blackcomb for the Adventure Zone (buy a 15 pass ticket – you’ll need it!) Activities on offer in 2010 included a climbing wall, flying trapeze, bungy trampolines, luge, go karting, mini golf and more. You can head up the mountain for sightseeing on the Peak2Peak, or take your comfortable shoes for a spot of mountain hiking. Hikes vary from easy flattish walks of 30 minutes or so to the epic Singing Pass Trail, which takes you from the top of the Peak Chair back to the Village – take provisions! ![]() You can try your hand at white water rafting – we have had awesome trips, getting very wet and seeing numerous osprey and even salmon and a seal. ![]() We are not golfers (yet) but friends (and Golf Digest) rave about the 4 championship golf courses that Whistler boasts – just watch out for the bears! www.whistler.com/golf For something more sedate, try cycling around the highly user-friendly valley trails, or have a lazy day picnicking, swimming in the lake and soaking up the sunshine and views at Rainbow Park and Lost Lake.
